Really enjoying your videos Kevin. Just letting you know that this episode 4 is missing from the Desert playlist. Glad I managed to find it 🙂

I would like to see something totally new for the next one, like the night sky painting
was so fun because he was experimenting and learning at the same time as
we. 🙂
SUggestion, for your next "Painting with you", please do a deep forest scene.

Hi Kevin I love your lessons….wow your paintings are magic….I am new in painting with acrylic. I love landscape paintings and I would love to learn how do you paint stones who is submerged into a lake on a windless day.
I find it very difficult to make it believable.
Again, thank you so much for your lessons.
As an idea to add to your painting, maybe a native American Indian reservation might look good! awesome painting as always.
Increíble Kevin!! tus pinturas son tan impresionantes. De verdad te admiro! Regards from Argentina ❤
Kevin, the painting looks great like all your others. I'd also like to thank you for kindly posting these videos for us to share your knowledge. Because of you and a few other painters on youtube, I decided to jump into oil painting. I did my first one, and unfortunately, it turned into a blobby slimy mess, hahah! The main reason for it was because I'm very confused about how much medium/thinner to use for my paint…I heard liquin was a good fast drying-medium, so that's what I used, but I think I used way too much of it, because my paint ended up being super thick and wet on the canvas, making it imposible to build up any layers. I'm also confused about when to use solvents vs when to use oil or liquin. If you have any advice for me, I'd really appreciate it. I want another one tomorrow, hopefully with better results, hahah!
For tomorrow, I was thinking about using a little bit of mineral spirits for my first layer of paint, so that I could easily paint over it, and then doing the rest with just a tiny bit of liqiun in the rest of my paint, say a 5:1 ratio. Does that sound about right? Should I add more liquin for the higher layers? Mixing the right amount of medium and solvent is super confusing for me! If you're curious, here's my terrible painting. If you want, I'll post the next one, too, to show any improvement!
