Kevin, I watch your videos a lot and you always make amazing paintings. I know first hand that its not always easy to explain things as you do them. Especially things as complex as painting. I only wish that you could explain/show how the paint is applied onto the brush and palette knife. And maybe give a better explanation of how much pressure and types of strokes you use to apply the paint onto the canvas. Thank you for this lesson!
Edit: My initial thinking is that I really struggle with my palette knife.
❤ you are great painter

I love your work. I am wondering if you list the colors of paint you use in this. If you do, where should I find them?

One of the best paintings I truly admire.. I have no words Mr Kevin! I'm into watercolor by the way. Had been to the Art Museum in Sacramento to see one of the oil paintings of Yosemite, you are a Thomas Hill in the 21st Century 🙂
BONJOUR
J adore vos videos, mais pourquoi ne mettez vous pas, les noms des couleurs que vous utilisez, encore merci
Sometimes I watch previous videos of yours that I have already watched just to listen to your calming voice before I go to sleep and it helps. Thanks for making these videos for us and you are really talented! 😀😊

extend the lenght of your Videos Kevin,so that we have more chances to learn and admire.especially mountain work.this is important for ur admirers.salute from Germany.
A beautiful painting of Yosemite's El Capitan. You really captured the beauty of this soulful, peaceful and historical place. Luv everything, the colors, the shape/contour of the mountain. Great depth as you look back into the valley. Great comp, and dialogue. Ty for sharing.
Beautiful painting. I do have to agree with Tech Co on the leaving steps out. I don't know if your restricted time wise for some reason, but some of the steps are pretty important if someone is trying to follow you that has not painted much. I just started in June and have taken some classes so I think I could get myself through the parts that you don't show, but it would sure be nice not to have to. I want to get some of your dvd's. Since the time on them is quite long, I am assuming there are no steps left out. As for Bob Ross, I am sure he would be incredibly proud of the work you do. You are an amazing artist and a good teacher. Just work on showing us all the steps here on youtube!
can i know what is the paper that u used for paintings?
Great job Kevin, Beautiful Painting, Bob would be proud!! I've been watching your Videos for some time now and decided to go ahead and Subscribe to your channel.
I have noticed that in your videos when you're putting in the sky that your easel doesn't seem to be very steady, (lots of wobbling) I know you're using all of the Bob Ross equipment, but you might want to consider a sturdier easel.
For those that are ripping Kevin for being a Bob Ross clone, Bob is no longer with us!! and his whole show was devoted to teaching people (like Kevin) how to paint with this technique. I have seen several artists on YouTube doing this technique and IMO Kevin is currently the best at it, plus he has the smooth relaxing delivery on camera much like Bob did. I think Bob would be very proud of what Kevin is doing!!
Fantastic as par for course
Man you make so easy to do great job
Awesome!! Watching your video is a pleasure and happiness to me…….its beautiful, its inspiring, its a treat for eyes, brain and heart …I owe to you a lot!!
Very nice..
You really captured the entirety of Yosemite's El Capitan, and brought it all to life. Wonderful execution, great work, well done in creating atmosphere in the piece, and a wonderful impression of the tunnel view in the distant valley. I like the sheer face of the mountain, great verticals with the colors and knife work. Like the trees, and line formation on both sides, and the added highlights to give the impression of snow. Also like the perspective you achieved with the small rocks with the added detail of snow on top, along the edge of the river. Beautiful work on the river as well, nice hue of blue, the white of the water lines and the reflections of the rocks delineates the two and adds a bit of sparkle. Absolutely superb interpretation of this wonderful place, giving the viewer a sense of being there. This piece gives the impression as realism. great work as always. Masterful, luv it.
