You can use liquid white as a primer and get a nice fading effect for the sky. Good luck!

Hi, Kevin,
As always I do love your paintings. However, I liked your style when I first saw you on YouTube about 2/ 3 years ago. Particularly your large brush & palette knife work. Although lovely, you have changed your style here and seemed very rushed. I realise that you only have a very short time to finish for the camera but, please don't change too much, Kevin, as your style was so unique. I guess I'm just not a fan of the loose style. I've just started oil painting and I have no idea what I'm doing. These videos have been very helpful but I can never get my skies to blend like yours. I was wondering if you have to prime your canvas with something before you start painting?
