Kevin, not sure if you'll read this since this is a 7 yo video. But I'm interested in buying your technique series, specially regarding using the brush to paint mountains as you do nowadays. I've already pretty much mastered the palette knife for mountains and I want to take it a step further. Does the first lesson include some instructions on the brush or is it knife-only and I should skip for the 2nd? Thanks in advanced.

If you want to learn to paint mountains this tutorial is great. Kevin really explains in detail from the brushes, to priming the canvas with the basecoat of liquid white, and how to blend a simple background. He shows how to put in the desired shapes of the undercoat of mountain, and explains the color mixing as he demonstrates as well. The most important part of how to highlight is the correct handeling of the knife and how to work it as you start from top and go down to get the breaking.
Do you always begin painting with white oil on the whole screen?
