Beautiful! The soft variations of sky colors and clouds, as the light illuminates in the background,sets for a beautiful scene of nature.
What really attracts this piece, is the horizon line, and how everything is drawn off of it. It brings your attention to the mountains, the trees and the river. The mountains shape and contour brought to life with great color placement. The trees stand tall with a natural look ,great foliage technique. Looking at the river with the colors, and the wonderful details of the rocks ,some bold and rugged ties everything together. Beautiful painting and has great rhythm, to brighness and their are no dramatic colors, gives a mellow feel. Your focus is directed to the sky, at the horizon you see these beautifully shaped mountains and trees. Then your focus is directed to the bottom of the painting, with the dark colors as you see a massive cliff. This is a great painting and extremely united. The scene units the beauty of nature. Brilliant work.
