It's not the materials that make a painting successful, but the composition, the values, the colors, and the perspective—all well-executed. I saw a beginner painter using high-end paints and brushes, but his paintings were dull and flat. I advise beginners not to invest in top-of-the-line materials, but rather in fine or study quality materials for a trial run to see if oil painting suits them. If they like it, they can then invest in better-quality, higher-end brands and later in top-of-the-line materials to avoid wasting expensive, high-quality equipment.
I bought this paint! Thinking it would be, good! Paint! Lol. I couldnt even paint! With it! I was so disappointed! I almost, cried! The paint, is way! To thick! And, way! To creamy! I tried the white! And blue, to make clouds! And, the, smell!!! Oh, my! I just, capped the tubes! And, they still are sitting in the box! You also cant blend with the paint! Theres way to much oil in it! Its jusf, garbage paint! Thats all thats to it! And, you dont need much! Of it thats for sure! Its like craft! Paint! Lol. 😮😢
Can you share budget oil paint brushes you reccomend as a starter set?
Je prends jamais Le train su Japon j’si la chance de travailler a 5 minutes de ma maison , mais la ply part du temps je prends ma voiture quand je vais sur Tokyo a Omote Sando il ya toujours des parkings a ¥300 par heure sur la rue
It’s so beautiful if you expose it to a gallery nobody will find the difference that you used cheap paint it’s the talent you have on your hands and brain that make it a master piece
When I first taught myself to paint, I used the cheap stuff, and only started to use better quality when I felt I was starting to get better. The difference was astounding as I discovered the many problems I had, was not my abilities but the cheap paint and equipment. It is better to invest in good painting materials as it saves money in the long run.
I don't see anything wrong with 16×20. I've been painting for 9 years now and I still use that size. Don't see what the problem is with it.
an artist will forever remain an artist, circumstances can change, but not the skills and talent, thank you for sharing. I am back to oil painting myself and inspiring to see how you can improvise just to let people out there now, no excuses for not painting even with the cheapest materials available for you, still you can make some magic happens!!
Love your paintings but why you mock the materials your explanation is like making fun in a bad why, if I don't have the money to buy your or other quality paint, brushes etc… Just explain I have tried to learn from you but you go back and forth really confusing I appreciate you sharing your skills and if a poor person and that what can do do I will put the paint before an a piece of board o what ever and I love how it's coming out ..,I heard the best paint (oil) is to be thick, etc…. But please let me enjoy painting with you, but you know what I can't living with $100.00 dollars a month, but I admire what you guys do please maybe you don't want to sound caqui 😔🤢
