I’m a beginner to both of these mediums. Started with watercolors 3 years ago with no prior art instruction of any kind, but I am a musician. I found you today on YouTube, Weeping Willow painting. I am going to paint that one and send it to you if you still accept them, that video is older. This is the second video I watched and learned SO MUCH!!! Thank you for creating these videos and sharing your knowledge to an old retired accountant turned hippie artist wanna be!

The painting on the right is a better painting, regardless of whether it's Oil or Acrylic. It has a lot more details in the waves. I myself prefer Acrylic for the simple fact that I can wash my brushes in tap water and I don't have to use smelly solvents

I like oil paint more, because it give me time to paint. Acryl is a lot like in a hurry to dry.
Oil Paint is better for the planet than acryl, because the binder is plant-based.

I learned how to paint with oils first so for me painting with acrylic has always been frustrating I always have a hard time blending as it dries way to fast

Though I'm still not able to choose between oil and acrylics ( they both have great qualities ), I've now got a better understanding of the differences between them, than I had before watching.
